CPGairport was appointed by Vietnam’s Cam Ranh Terminal Company to provide full design consultancy services for the new Cam Ranh International Airport’s Passenger Terminal Building. The new Passenger Terminal Building will serve International passengers, while the existing International Passenger Terminal Building will be converted to serve Domestic passengers.

The Terminal Building has a modular design comprising of a main hall, with a linear concourse to serve the aircraft boarding gates. The planning allows for an initial development of 4 million passengers per annum, and an ultimate development for a capacity of up to 8 million passengers per annum. The phased expansion have been planned to be on each side of the main terminal,

The architectural design of the Terminal Building is inspired from the “swiftlet’s nest”, playing with the tectonics of the concave nests of the swiftlet bird, the roof is formed by a series of repetitive “crests and troughs” that undulates over the Terminal Building. This Terminal Building will be a new gateway to Khanh Hoa Province, offering the latest in passenger comfort and convenience to passengers.
