The proposed HCMC National University Medical Campus covers a 20.6-hectare site, located strategically at the gateway of Ho Chi Minh City’s National University area along the Ring Road 2, connecting Highways 1A and 1K. Designed with an ambitious vision, the campus aims to create an open, dynamic environment that fosters community connection. The architectural concept makes use of the natural terrain variations, incorporating vibrant public spaces that are flexible and engaging.
The structures are designed to flow harmoniously with the surrounding landscape, featuring pathways leading to lively spaces and a large central plaza. This approach not only creates a clear architectural direction but also fosters a sense of openness and accessibility. In addition, the campus layout integrates various green elements, including courtyard gardens, rooftop green spaces, and water features, promoting a sustainable, eco-friendly environment.
As a focal point of the “university village” concept, the campus will house a teaching hospital, a medical school, a central park, and reserved land for future expansion. This blend of functional facilities and green spaces underscores the campus’s goal of becoming a landmark that reflects a balance of innovation, sustainability, and community orientation.
